Using Hybrid Fuzzy PROMETHEE II and Fuzzy Binary Goal Programming for Risk Ranking: A Case Study of Highway Construction Projects
Authors
Abstract:
Multi attribute decision making methods are considered as one of the most useful methods for solving ranking problems. In some decision making problems, while the alternatives for corresponding criteria are compared in a pairwise comparison manner, if the criteria are inherently fuzzy, debates will arise in ranking alternatives due to the closeness of the values of the criteria. In this research, the fuzzy PROMETHEE II is proposed as a solution in such conditions. First, using the ANP method, the criteria are weighted. Then, the ranking process is accomplished both by the fuzzy PROMETHEE II and the fuzzy TOPSIS methods. Finally, calculating Spearman correlation coefficient, the results of these two approaches are compared. Then, the most important risks are selected via the fuzzy binary goal programming and ranked again through the fuzzy PROMETHEE II and fuzzy TOPSIS methods finally, in the last step, these ranking two are compared. As a case study, highway construction risks are ranked through this method.

Abstract Introduction: Construction projects are one of the most important sectors of the economy of the country, which has a high capacity for job creation. Construction projects are part of a huge and strategic set of civil engineering projects that unfortunately have a large share of work-related accidents due to lack of attention to safety. One of the most important issues that can contrib...
full textA goal programming approach for fuzzy flexible linear programming problems
We are concerned with solving Fuzzy Flexible Linear Programming (FFLP) problems. Even though, this model is very practical and is useful for many applications, but there are only a few methods for its situation. In most approaches proposed in the literature, the solution process needs at least, two phases where each phase needs to solve a linear programming problem. Here, we propose a method t...
full textFractional CCP: A Fuzzy Goal Programming Approach
Abstract It is the purpose of this article to introduce a linear approximation technique for solving a fractional chance constrained programming (CC) problem. For this purpose, a fuzzy goal programming model of the equivalent deterministic form of the fractional chance constrained programming is provided and then the process of defuzzification and linearization of the problem is started. A sam...
full textA Fuzzy Goal Programming Model for Efficient Portfolio Selection.
This paper considers a multi-objective portfolio selection problem imposed by gaining of portfolio, divided yield and risk control in an ambiguous investment environment, in which the return and risk are characterized by probabilistic numbers. Based on the theory of possibility, a new multi-objective portfolio optimization model with gaining of portfolio, divided yield and risk control is propo...
